and ye, since its coming to the end of the year,
i think the term of the 2nd batch of us psls is too, coming to an end.
some of us are continuing with our 2nd term,
whilst some of us will leave us after the term ends.
but whatever it is,
no matter whatever happens,
we'll always be 1 big PSL family!

let's face the fact yeah,
2PSB wasn't as successful as we wanted to be.
but it is not how we end.
but how we enter into the 3PSB.
the PSLs who are gonna stay,
are you going to uphold the board?
the outgoing PSLs, would you be proud
to say you were once a PSL?
alright? i believe a new term, a new chapter
will be good for us all.

(as a good history student)
HOWEVER,
before the term end.
i have one wish.

Yes, it's me, showing "encouragement" yeah.

Anyway, just some points for you guys to take note:

1. Existing PSLs, your work has not ended. This is still your office term. Remember the pledge you had made in Febraury? You made a pledge in taking pride in your duties. Well, have you? In a month to come, the office term will end. Ask yourself about your involvement within the board. Remember, your office term HAS NOT ENDED. If you felt that you still had not made an impact, I would like to urge you to at least attend and conduct the last PSS. Attendance is very poor for PSS. Where had the sense of discipline I had instilled in you guys went to? Please, after the EOYs I would want you guys to rethink about your actions.

2. As none of you have stepped down, I would also urge you to attend the coming AGM as your seniors had did. I do not care what you have planned on that day. Unless you have urgent family matters to attend to or had fallen ill. AGM would be on the 26th of October. Like it or not, you will have to attend. This would mark the official handover of your duties. In particular, take note that there will be another meeting before AGM on the 11th of October. This agenda of this meeting will be on various disciplinary issues within the board.

3. Lastly, I would like to present to you the lyrics of our NDP theme song for this year, "Will you"

My challenge is not about you having to find new ways. No, it is too late. Neither is my challenge about you writing grand new stories for the Board. No, there is no time left for it. My challenge for you is about at least not disappointing yourself. Give yourself one last chance in the Board. If you don't, do not complain to others that you have gathered nothing in this Board; it is only because of your incompetence and your attitude that had led you only that far.

for those who did not attend the Peer Support meeting today,
here's what we had discussed,
1.Focus of the PSS
-continue with PSS (maybe twice/thrice a term)
OR
-No more PSS (but there will still be interaction between the year ones and PSLs)

2.Helping the PRC students
-think of ways to welcome the foreign students and to help them set in comfortably to RV.

For the above, think about them and give your suggestions during the next meeting. (:

The clownfish is a BISEXUAL!

Well, I need to create this post. Recently, I have received some comments over our dearest mascot, the clownfish.

Just last month, Miss Tan feedbacked to me about the mascot. She said that many of you do not seem to know why the clownfish is our mascot. Well, if you did not listen to what the emcee said about the clownfish during the investiture, listen up! (Ok, I am not angry.) The clownfish, like the one in Finding Nemo, symbolises our enthusiasm. And just like any other clownfish which seek a mutual relationship with the sea anemones (no we are not telling you to find a girlfriend or a boyfriend), we hope that you as a PSL can and will render help and provide necessary support for our juniors. At the same time, we also hope that you can also learn something from the Year 1s. (Thus the mutual learning or the mutual "relationship" if you would like to call it)

Again, also in the last month, a PSL said that his/her classmates laughed at him because apparently, the clownfish is a bisexual. Good gracious! I didn't know that the mascot was a bisexual.

But hey to whoever you are, tell your classmates that the clownfish is not a bisexual. Get their facts right first before accusing us of being bisexuals or whatever. According to wikipedia, clownfishes have distinct genders, namely males and females. The head male (the leading male)only BECOMES a female only when the head female dies. Well, is the head female around? Yes of course! Haha, so please, do not curse them. Furthermore, I do not want to be a transvestite anyway, so it's highly unlikely for any of you to see me becoming a female.

And it is also true we only like to learn the good things from anyone. I mean, you do not look for a person to learn all the bad things from him, do you? You only learn the good things from him. We are looking at the desirable traits of the clownfish and not his/her "faults" such as a being a bisexual or whatever (if you would like to consider that as a fault, that is). Furthermore, if a clownfish is born like that, he or she is born like that. There is no way you can change him or her physically. Nature had forced the head male to change into a female on the event that the head female dies. This is to ensure survival and continuation of their species. If that was really a fault of the clownfish, then I would say that those who point that out as a fault must really be perfect.

Look, the whole point is not to scold anyone about this matter. I am only trying to tell you that this clownfish is our pride and our heritage. I certainly do not believe that you should feel bad just because it may have some weird physical traits. Be proud of yourself. Do not care about what others say of you. What matters most is your identity as a PSL. That is all. I do not think I am asking too much from you.

Hi PSLs out there,
In whatever case you face problems with, you are not to post with anger towards the year 1s. You can use this blog as a medium to encourage others or reflection, but not with an angry tone. No matter how are angry you are towards a junior, by posting it, writing it down, could get the whole PSP into trouble. Please do not let a moment of anger to tarnish our programme's reputation as one which helps the year one juniors.

Be it any blog, no matter how indignant you feel about any matter, it is morally incorrect to scold the person on the blog. Whoever who was hurt by our previous posts, I am terribly sorry about the anger directed at you.

Whatever the case, this blog is also not for gossiping about teachers and peeps. Either are wrong. If you do not like a person, or angry or feel that you are wronged by any matter, please approach Miss Mar rather that posting such subjective posts which might even cause an even bigger outrage and the losing of your year one's support. Miss Mar and the three of us will definitely help you by thinking of solutions to the problems. Rather than typing on the blog to hurt the person (or maybe you did not mean it), this would definitely be a better solution.

You can however, posts well wishes (to anyone), encouragements or just plain announcements on the blog. The blog is meant for better communication between the student body and us and I hope this will not happen again

anyway,
feel that recently, many things have been going on. be it school work, cca commitments, psp commitments.yea, many of you xing ku le! really do remember the PASSION you once had for a particular thing.when you have your vision and destination in mind, you'll not get tired no matter how tough it is. and in the long run, it is always good to have a close friend with you to remind and encourage you of your visions, even though they may not really verbalize it out, but it's the friendship that motivates you on. that's why it's alway good that you have someone whom you can pour your heart out to. don't have one, find one, make an effort, no matter you are an extrovert or introvert, everyone needs a friend. :)

and oh ya,
there's till one more week for you to go collect your angbaos!

Hi PSLs!
Well, you all have guessed correctly that it was me who created this blog. Blogskin was gotten from someone else but I deleted his/her name cos he/she USED UNPLEASANT WORDS IN THE BLOG PICTURE. I did away with those words and ta-da! There you have it! A nice blog that every PSLs can write and reflect in.

Talking about the choice of colours, initially I wanted a blue and orange blog, but because the orange was too outstanding, I decided to choose a skin with a lighter shade of blue. The blue and white (with a little black) now forms the colour scheme of the blog

Lastly, hey Year 2s! All of you must work hard for common tests OK? But at the same time, like what tongjing has said, all of you must keep this blog alive with your posts! Remember: All work and no play makes a PSL a boring creature!
